Current Gate Closures
As we continue to manage our improvements at State Fair Park, by making adjustments based on customer needs and expectations, we will be directing both incoming and outgoing traffic to Gate 5 (off of May Avenue) and Gate 6 (off of Reno Avenue). As of Monday, July 4, traffic has been directed to these two gates. In order to execute this plan, we will implement the following:
- Gate 5 (Main Gate), on the east side of the property, will be the primary access to State Fair Park and will remain open 24-7. After Gate 6 is closed for the day, the Main Gate will be staffed by security personnel from Safety and Security Services, Inc. SSSI is working with our staff to provide around the clock security patrols for State Fair Park. After hours, only those individuals with official business will be granted access thru Gate 5.Gate 6, south of State Fair Arena, will be open during normal operating hours (6:00 a.m. to the end of the day’s events).
- Gates 2, 9 and 10, on the north side of the property, will be closed to vehicular traffic.
- Gate 7, on the west side of the property, will be closed to vehicular traffic.
- We will post numerous signs, throughout the property, directing traffic to the appropriate gate.
